I recently purchased a new coffee maker and even after cleaning it multiple times with hot, soapy water, the coffee still has a plastic taste to it. How long does it take to get rid of this taste and what can I do to speed up the process? Thanks in advance!

It all starts with asking a girl out for a cup of coffee. It might end in marriage and a family. Not to mention the many students who got through their studies while having numerous cups of black coffee.

I made coasters using 4" square ceramic tiles. I printed a picture with my computer, put it on the ceramic tile, gave the entire surface 3 coats of Mod Podge allowing 15-30 minutes drying time between coats, then finished with 2 coats of a clear acrylic sealer spray. I let it dry for 24 hours, then tried it out with a cup of hot coffee. The cup left a ring melted into the finish of the coaster. What can I use, or what can I do, to make the coasters heat resistant to be used with hot beverages?

I love iced coffee! Aside from water and juice, it’s the ONLY beverage I consume! Sometimes I get one large iced cofee (Starbucks, McDonald’s, wherever!) a day! It’s a craving / addiction, and I know I need to cut down. I was just wondering, for someone who is already addicted, how much is too much so I know how much I should cut down (without cutting out the entire beverage from my diet).

I’ve live in and visited Europe and find the average cup of coffee in Europe (in most countries in Europe) is significantly better than most of what I get in North America.

Whenever i get a Coffee at Tim Hortons, Coffee Time or wherever, my tounge always gets burnt when drinking it. I take my time, i sip it very slowly, like when eating hot soup. I drink at the same pace as many other people and there tounge’s dont get burnt.

My tounge doesnt get badly burnt, but its like a slight burn that feels so annoying, and it lasts a couple days. Anyone know why?

I have a 1988 F-250 truck with the 7.3 diesel. I have been having trouble with it starting in warm and cold weather. I have discovered that two glow plugs are bad and will replace them. But I have had trouble with it starting when it is about 50 to 60 degrees too. I thought it was a fuel delivery problem like my lines weren’ t staying primed. I was told to take out the "coffee can" and it would help.

My mom spilled coffee on her expensive oriental rug! She is going to get it cleaned, but the cleaners are closed today. It’s a dark red rug with some light trim, and the coffee that was spilled did not contain sugar but did have a small amount of half-and-half. She is blotting it, but wants to make sure that the coffee doesn’t stain any more than it has to in the 24 hours until the cleaners can get here.

HI – I am finding my Breville coffee machine a little sluggish (happened a couple of times). That is, the steamer didn’t start dripping when the machine was switched on (should start dripping about a minute after). A friend who is a coffee fanatic told me to use a mixture of lemon juice and ? (forgotten) but I was not willing to waste lemons for this (and the method seemed complex).

Usually, you just fill the coffee maker with plain water. I was wondering, though, what would happen if I added sugar to the water before brewing. Would it damage the machine at all? I worry it may gum up the friggin’ thing.

So I bought a Mr Coffee machine and I noticed there was an brew strength option on it, either to make it strong or regular. I just wanted to know what difference it made? Light beige carpet…..Ugly HUGE brown coffee stain…1/3 of a pot of camp coffee….Grounds included spilled on the rv carpet!!….Carpet cleaned within an hour and looked pretty good when it was wet but OMG when it dried it allll came back…Any advice or should I buy some rugs!?
